Ace Hotel x DCAP MEDIA present Persistence of Vision featuring Creepy Fest's Bill Heintz

A three-day horror film experience. Day 2:

SATURDAY 8/24 | 11AM - 2AM
THEME: TRUMP-ERA FEVER DREAM
Tumble down the rabbit hole to hell; it’s filled with colonial cannibals, grinning demons, lurching zombies and sinister snakes.

11:05am-11:15am: ZINE READING & DISCUSSION: Bulbancha Is Still a Place: Indigenous Culture from New Orleans, LLC Issue #2
Dr. Jeffery U. Darensbourg, Tribal Councilperson and enrolled member of the Atakapa-Ishak Nation, reads from a local Indigenous-authored zine while giving his take on Poltergeist through a Native lens.

11:15am-1:15pm: Poltergeist (Dir. Tobe Hooper, but really Steven Spielberg)
FEVER DREAM: Cursed | The Freelings, an average California family, are assaulted by vengeful ghosts––and five-year-old Carol Ann (Heather O'Rourke) can commune with them through the television set. A cautionary tale for parents: limit that screen time.

- Full lineup TBA (check this thread again for updates!)

6:45pm-8:30pm: Hocus Pocus (Dir. Kenny Ortega) with Live Commentary, Feat. Too Trill Trivia's Terri Simon & NOVAC's Kelsey Michael Murry
FEVER DREAM: Wacky Witch Hunts | What's better than revisiting this cult classic about three naughty necromancers? Listening to Terri & Kelsey talk over it, of course.

8:30pm-10pm: BAND PERFORMANCE: The Unnaturals
This local three piece instrumental rock band aspires to be the soundtrack for your next nightmare.

10:00pm-10:15pm: Zombie Chat with Bill and Zandashé
Creepy Fest founder Bill Heintz is basically an expert on zombies, and Blood Runs Down director Zandashé Brown loves zombies, so we doin' this: two locals. choppin' it up about the undead and real-life historical context. RAAAAUUUUGHHHH!

10:15pm-11:55am: Shaun of the Dead (Dir. Edgar Wright)
FEVER DREAM: Fight-or-Flight | Shaun (Simon Pegg) is a directionless Londoner who discovers that his town is inexplicably overrun with zombies. Will Shaun rise to the occasion and protect the ones he loves?

12:00am-2am: An American Werewolf in London (Dir. John Landis)
FEVER DREAM: He's A Monster | This 1981 British-American horror comedy features a peak fur-bro aesthetic. Which other narcissist can you think of who has weird hair, poorly tailored suits, & is responsible for the deaths of many innocent people?
